On August 30, Seminar on Integrated Technology Exchange for Environmental Protection Standards in the Yangtze River Delta was held in our university.

At first, Yang Chunlin said that the integration of environmental standards in the Yangtze River Delta was the foundation of environmental planning and environmental law enforcement, and also an important guarantee of green development of the Yangtze River Delta. Shanghai Municipal Bureau of Ecology and Environment has actively involved in promoting the integration of environmental standards. He hoped that this technical seminar can build a sharing platform for the researches on the Key Technologies of environmental standards integration.

At the meeting, Wang Zheming introduced the current environmental regulations and relevant planning in Zhejiang province, and offered some suggestions on the integration of environmental standards in the Yangtze River Delta from the perspectives of form, content and organization of standards.

Zhu Sen introduced the current environmental regulations and relevant planning in Anhui province. Pei Bei gave the details about researches of environmental standards and planning of Yangtze River Delta integrated demonstration zone from three aspects— background, preliminary assumption and possible problems. Xu Zhirong mentioned current situation of the pollutant emission standards of pharmaceutical industry in Zhejiang province and provided some revision ideas .

Finally, Xiu Guangli, analyzed the present situation and the differentiation of Shanghai environmental standards, put forward the key problems from a strategic perspective and technical point of view and presented some opinions about how to promote it. Meanwhile, he advocated that we should take full advantage of this meeting to build exchange platform, so that technical seminars and scientific research cooperation can be carried out on a regular basis.

Experts at the meeting fully participated in the discussion and shared their ideas. As a result, all the people reached the consensus to formulate an integration standard and promote the integration model by further cooperation.

Shanghai Environmental Protection Laboratory on environmental standards and risk control for chemical pollutants was approved by Shanghai Municipal Bureau of Ecology and Environment in 2017. Based on the East China University of Science and Technology (ECUST) and Shanghai Environmental Monitoring Center, the laboratory focused on the scientific research innovation on the chemical risk assessment, as part of the efforts to cultivate professionals and to realize science and technology innovation.
